To download the mobile application, go to the Application Store of your mobile device and search for DBxtra.
To log in, open the application in your mobile device, you will be asked for the URL address of your Report Server as well as the user name and password you use to log into this server, once you fill in this information click in Log In.
Note: The Report Server address must include the protocol you use (http or https) as well as the port and the virtual directory, just like when you open it from a Web Browser, for example: http://ReportServer:8080/DBxtra.NET
This is the main interface of the application, here you will see the Project Explorer after you log in, at the right you’ll find a menu button with options relevant to the displayed information.
In the Project Explorer you’ll find three sections, the first one is for a pinned report object, the second one is a folder that contains favorite reports and a third one is all the Projects and Report Objects.
To open a Report Object navigate in the Project Explorer to the Report Object you want to open and click in it, this will display a menu with options to open the Data Grid, Pivot Grid, Report and Dashboard; clicking on Data Grid and Pivot Grid will display a menu with the Views you can open, clicking in Report and Dashboard will take you to the respective Report or Dashboard.
Note: You can add a specific view to the favorites folder, if you do so, clicking it, will open directly this view.
Interaction with the Report Object is similar as how you interact with them in the Report Web Service, so we recommend to read the documentation relevant to this in the Report Server section.
The Dashboard shows a mobile friendly view when opened, this view has been optimized for mobile devices and widget ordering may not correspond with the one you defined in the Designer, it also changes its behavior slightly from the web version; when you’re in a mobile device, interacting with a widget is not possible and you need to click in the widget to open it and be able to interact with it.
When you pin a Report Object to the Start Page, it appears at the top of the Project Explorer instead of loading at start.
When you add a Report Object to the Favorites folder from the Mobile Application (Menu->Add to Favorites), the current view is added to the Favorites folder.
